Platinum Pumpkin Peel

Did you think pumpkins were only good for making pies and carving? Think again. I bet you've never considered putting it on your face...

There's no trick here, the only mask you need this Halloween is our special Platinum Pumpkin Peel.

Pumpkin is a powerful vegetable. It is packed with enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell turnover; and Vitamins A and C which help soften, soothe, increase collagen production, and prevent signs of aging. While we wouldn't advise rubbing your face down with a handful of pumpkin gook, treating yourself to our Platinum Pumpkin Peel however, will leave you glowing! This relaxing treatment contains an organic blend of pumpkin and fruit enzymes, and is used to polish and perfect dull skin. With cool, dry weather underway, this peel is a great way to extend that summer radiance.

The treatment is 60 minutes, has no down time, and is suitable for all skin types.

The service starts with a dermaplane. Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation procedure. It requires the use of a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently "shave" the skin's surface, removing the top-most layer of dead skin along with the fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz). This process allows for a deeper penetration of the Platinum Pumpkin Enzyme Mask.

The Platinum Enzyme Mask uses topical enzymes to gently exfoliate the skin, while the plant-derived stem cells work to protect the skin and slow the aging process. The mask also contains powerful peptides that stimulate collagen; promoting a tighter, glowing complexion.  The enzymes in the mask work by eating the dead skin cells, leaving your face tighter and brighter.

After the mask, your esthetician will follow up your service with customized, nourishing serums that give your skin the overall BOO-st of hydration it needs.

To maintain your radiant results, you can purchase our retail pumpkin enzyme mask for $36 from our office. Simply apply the mask to clean skin, massage it in for 3 minutes, let the mask rest on the skin for a total of 15 minutes, then rinse with cool water to neutralize. Voila, a more youthful you.

The HydraFacial

When you hear the word facial, what are the first thoughts that come to mind?
For me, I picture myself with cucumbers on my eyes, a towel in my hair, and a bunch of fragrant gunk slathered on my face. Nice, but nothing I can't do myself in the comfort of my own home.  In the past I had seen woman on social media talk about getting these amazing, skin changing, facials and didn't understand all the hype behind it. Like I said, the ones I had received in the past were nice, relaxing, and very zen, but hardly did anything for my skin. Enter: the HydraFacial.

As soon as I learned more about the HydraFacial process, the science behind it, and the results, I knew THIS must be the kind of facial these people were talking about! Here is what I learned, and all you need to know:

The Hydrafacial doesn't just involve applying topicals on the surface of the skin, it's actually the only wet dermabrasion procedure that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection simultaneously. AND the results are clearer, more beautiful skin with no discomfort or downtime.

It can also be tailored to meet the specific needs of any skin type, and offers instant, noticeable results without irritation.  The process works by removing dead skin cells and extracting impurities while bathing the new skin with cleansing, hydrating and moisturizing serums. No pain, but lots of gain!

As someone who has very, very sensitive skin, I was pleased to learn that my skin would still easily tolerate the HydraFacial treatment AND I would see immediate, positive results. The medical aestheticians at Yonick Plastic Surgery are highly trained and do an outstanding job of customizing treatments with boosters and led light therapy to address unique skin conditions and needs. Many clients report seeing visible skin refinement and a more even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The hydration and smooth texture can last 5 to 7 days, or even longer depending on your skin type and maintenance. While a single treatment does yield immediate results (and did for me), having one treatment per month is ideal for optimum skin health. Regular Hydrafacial treatments improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, oily and congested skin.
