Coolsculpting

Are you hoping to achieve your best body yet? Yonick Plastic Surgery is here to help you reach your personal goals AND get you feeling great about how you look!

The Coolsculpting, fat-freezing, procedure is the only FDA-cleared non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate the stubborn fat that you can't with diet and exercise.
How it works:
The Coolsculpting procedure safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells are crystalized (frozen), then die off. Over time your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you.

What to expect:
During your first visit, you will meet with a Coolsculpting expert and receive a one on one consultation. During the consultation, our expert will take the time to discuss a holistic approach to your goals for reshaping your body. Together, we'll look at your body from different angles, then focus on specific areas where you want to eliminate fat.

Your treatment day:
No surgery AND little to no downtime.
During your treatment, a gel pad and applicator will be applied to the targeted area. The Coolsculpting applicator will then deliver controlled cooling to the targeted fat. During your procedure, feel free to read, check your email, or even nap!

How "cool" is the Coolsculpting procedure:
As the name suggests, the Coolsculpting procedure can be a little chilly. Controlled cooling is delivered via an applicator to freeze the targeted fat. Though you may feel cold initially, this feeling usually subsides within 5-10 minutes as the area numbs. Because most applicators use a vacuum to draw fatty tissue into the applicator cup, you may also feel some slight pulling, tugging and/or mild pinching.

Is there downtime:
The CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-surgical, which makes returning to normal activities after, typically an easy process. Patients often even return to work immediately following a treatment.

Are there any side effects:
Following the procedure, typical side effects may include: temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, and/or skin sensitivity. Sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental area treatment has also been reported. These effects are temporary and generally resolve within days or weeks. Though rare, some additional side effects may occur.

What is the difference between losing weight vs. losing fat:
The number of fat cells in our bodies typically become a fixed number sometime in our teenage years. Losing or gaining weight generally does not increase or decrease the number of fat cells, instead it changes the size of fat cells. After dieting and weight loss, fat cells get smaller but the number of fat cells stays the same. When weight is gained, fat cells get bigger.

The Coolsculpting, fat freezing procedure actually reduces the number of fat cells in treated areas by about 20-25%. These fat cells are naturally processed and eliminated so they won’t’ migrate to another area of your body.

Am I a good candidate for Coolsculpting:
Coolsculpting is designed for those who have unwanted fat in targeted areas. Unlike weight loss surgery (like gastric bypass), the CoolSculpting procedure is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese. The ideal candidates for Coolsculpting are those who have noticeable bulges in certain areas they would like to get rid of. The fact that it is non-surgical makes it a great alternative to liposuction.

When will I see results:
You may see changes as quickly as 3 weeks after your treatment, but will experience the most drastic results after 2 months. Your body continue to flush out fat cells for up to 4-6 months after treatment.
How much does Coolsculpting cost:
The cost depends on the areas of concern, the number of treatments needed, and your goals. Most patients opt to receive treatments in multiple body areas in order to achieve their desired results. The cost typically ranges between $2000-4000 per personalized treatment plan; depending on the number of areas treated.
